The Biological Control Laboratory under the College of Agriculture is one of the satellite laboratories of the Regional Crop Protection Center – DA-Regional Field Office VI and proudly stands as the only satellite laboratory housed in a State University and College (SUC). This facility is dedicated to the mass production of earwigs and Trichogramma, vital biological control agents in crop protection.
Under the expertise of Mr. Jodel Lacsao (Admin Assistant I) and the supervision of the Dean, Dr. Myrna P. Prudente, the laboratory ensures a continuous supply of these biocontrol agents—benefiting local farmers in managing pests naturally and serving as a valuable instructional resource for students.
