


The Magna Carta of Women (Republic Act No. 9710) defines Gender and Development Program (GAD) as the development perspective and process that is participatory and empowering, equitable, sustainable, free from violence, respectful of human rights, supportive of self-determination and actualization of human potentials.

1. Gender-responsive Academic Programs
a. To capacitate faculty members with GAD-related seminars, training, and conferences;
b. To integrate GAD and UN SDGs in academic curricula.
2. Gender-responsive Research and Extension Programs
a. To capacitate faculty with GAD training to conduct gender-responsive research and extension projects;
b. To conduct gender-related researches that address existing gender issues in the academe and the community;
c. To implement policies and programs that offer equal protection for men and women.
d. To develop and use new technologies to improve gender equality.
3. Efficient Mechanisms and Administrative Support Systems for GAD
a. To strengthen the GFPS to drive better gender equality efforts across the university and ensure compliance with gender-related laws.
b. To empower the Committee on Decorum and Investigation to ensure a more robust system for upholding standards.
4. Gender-sensitive and Gender-responsive Student Body
a. To capacitate students with GAD training to foster a learning environment that is inclusive and respectful of all genders.
