
The ISUFST–College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (CFAS) participated in Fish It Forward 2026: Fisheries Innovation Forum held on October 5, 2026, at Casa Real, Iloilo Provincial Capitol, Iloilo City, as part of the celebration of Farmers and Fisherfolks Week 2026.
With the theme, “Mangunguma kag Mangingisda: Mangin Mapag-on, Alerto sa Pagpanghangkat sang Panahon, Palangabuhi-an Pauswagon” the forum brought together representatives from the academe, fisherfolk organizations and associations, local government units, and other fisheries stakeholders across Iloilo Province to strengthen collaboration and advance innovative, resilient, and sustainable fisheries and agricultural practices.

Representing ISUFST-CFAS were Dr. Rolindo B. Demo-os, Jr., CFAS Dean; Dr. Roy C. Villanueva; Dr. Marjorie Villanueva; Dr. Cjay B. Soliven; Dr. John Christian B. Salarza; Prof. Rico Ian D. To-ong; Instr. Caryl Jade C. Villanueva; Instr. Ellen Rose M. Braña; and Inst. Mary Angie Deaño.
The participation highlights CFAS’s continuing commitment to knowledge exchange, fisheries innovation, stakeholder engagement, and resilient aquatic food systems in support of the province’s fisherfolk communities.
