The Iloilo State University of Fisheries Sciences and Technology (ISUFST) showcases its talents at the ongoing Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (RASUC) VI Culture and Arts Conference and Festival, held at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
With 79 delegates comprising coaches and student-performers, the team is from the different campuses of the system.
Dr. Frietzie S. Inayan, University Cultural director, expressed her enthusiasm for the event. “This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to compete against some of the most gifted artists in Western Visayas,” she said. “I must say we’ve prepared diligently, and we’re confident that our ISUFST delegates will put on a strong showing.”
The RASUC VI Arts Conference and Festival, which runs from March 23 to 25, features competitions in various artistic disciplines, including music (voice and instrument), visual arts, theater, and dance.
In full support to the advocacy of the cultural affairs, ISUFST President Dr. Nordy D. Siason, Jr. expressed, “The event provides a platform for young artists from across the region to connect, share their talents, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Western Visayas. It is another unique experience for our students to take part in the showcase.”
Eleven RASUC members in Western Visayas have made this affair possible.
