University President Dr. Nordy D. Siason, Jr. and select directors from the main campus attended a luncheon meeting with Mr. Rafael Albert, Chief of Staff of Sen. Risa Hontiveros, on Monday, February 05, 2024, in Pasay City.

 

       After the inception meeting and planning session on January 26, 2024, at the Main Campus-Poblacion Site, ISUFST entered into collaboration with De La Salle University (DLSU) for research and extension on Localization of Women’s and Children’s Policies.

 

       DLSU Institute of Governance Director and SDG Advocate Dr. Francisco A. Magno invited Dr. Siason for the meeting with Mr. Albert to discuss key performance outcomes of the said project.

 

       Prior to the meeting, ISUFST team paid a courtesy visit to Sen. Hontiveros, Chair of the Senate Committee on Women and Children.

 

      To note, the senator’s keen interest using the knowledge products from relative projects especially in generating policy recommendations arising from the review of the localized implementation of women’s and children’s policies gave reference to provisions in the Magna Carta for Women, the Gender And Development (GAD) Act, the Violence Against Women and Children Act, and the Assistance to Women Engaged in Microenterprises Act among others.
